The Power of Jesus to Change lives

by Boile Malunga

My name is Boile Malunga. I am a second year international student pursuing a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering with a Business Administration minor. I am a Seventh-Day Adventist believer.

Jesus Christ came to this earth to reconcile a fallen world with a loving longing Father. Being the express image of the Father (Heb 1:3), He came sorely to reflect the character of God to the world and thus save all. As is walked among men, he brought changes to their course of lives. To some he bade,”follow me”, and yet to some, “go and sin no more”.  These words that were said with love and power, never with condemnation, changes sinners to saints. That same Jesus is still accessible to us. Though crucified, He rose and ever makes intercession for us. It is never too late to come home. The challenging lifestyles we may adopt can be neglected only through the power of Christ. Through prayer and fasting, let us ask Christ to create us anew and change our lives.

When God formed man, He wanted to commune with him intimately. Unfortunately, sin marred that perfect communication. After being delivered from a land of Egypt, God wanted to re-establish the relationship again. He commanded the Israelites to make a sanctuary that He may dwell among them (Exo 25:8). Through the sanctuary services, God was able to show to us the plan He had instigated, which is saving fallen man. Two sanctuaries always existed, one on earth the other in heaven. Now we do not have a physical structure like in the olden days but rather we have better things. 1 Cori 3:17, “If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are”.

We are the temple of God, and thus Jesus the High Priest should take charge in our lives and make us holy and acceptable unto the Lord.
